Including Compliance Information on Technical Drawings

Question

Once my company has collected REACH and RoHS compliance data for the parts we manufacture, should we update our part and product drawings to show our compliance status?

Answer

No, we recommend that you do not label drawings with compliance status information. Because regulations are periodically updated (especially in the case the REACH SVCH Candidate List), drawings with compliance information would also have to be updated frequently. Instead, compliance data should be collected in an easily accessible database to demonstrate due diligence during audits.

Because compliance standards often change, it's important to make sure that your documentation clearly notes the dates related to each compliance statement.
