Supplier Portal Contact Management

With our new Supplier Portal, we’re giving suppliers the tools to manage their own organizational contacts. Suppliers have the best insight into their preferred contacts and now can add those contacts directly into the Assent database.

Updating a Contact

When you respond to a request for information from your customer, you can update your contact information directly in the Supplier Portal.

  1. Once you receive the relevant campaign email, click the link to open the Supplier Portal.

  2. On the Supplier Portal landing page, review your open requests:



  3. On the left-hand sidebar, click Update or add contacts:



  4. On the Update Contact Information page, update any desired information, including: First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, or Job Title:



  5. Under the What should we contact you for? heading, select whether you respond to all compliance requests directed at your company or specific types of requests:



  6. If you respond to specific types of requests, use the checkboxes to select the regulations:



  7. If you select that you are not a contact for these requests, use the checkboxes to determine whether you are not a good contact for the requesting customer, or not a good contact for any compliance requests:



  8. Click Save.

    You will see confirmation of the changes you made:



  9. Click Back to homepage to return to the Supplier Portal landing page.

Adding a New Contact

When you respond to a request for information, you can add a new contact if you think there is someone in your organization better suited to receiving requests.

  1. Once you receive the relevant campaign email, click the link to open the Supplier Portal.

  2. On the Supplier Portal landing page, review your open requests:



  3. On the left-hand sidebar, click Update or add contacts:



  4. On the Update Contact Information page, click the Add Contact button:



  5. Enter the Email address, First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, and Job Title of the new contact.

    Email address is a required field.  

  6. Under the What should we contact them for? heading, select whether the new contact will respond to all compliance requests directed at your company or specific types of requests:



  7. If the contact will respond to specific types of requests, use the checkboxes to select the regulations:



  8. Optionally, enter a message for the new contact:



    This message will populate in the email the new contact receives, so you may want to communicate why they are receiving this email.

  9. Click the Add button.

  10. On the window that opens, confirm the contact information and click Add Contact:



  11. You will see confirmation of the contact you added:



  12. Click Back to homepage to return to the Supplier Portal landing page.

Confirming or Rejecting a Request to be a Proposed Contact

If someone at your organization has proposed you as an Assent contact, you will receive a confirmation email.

  1. In your inbox, open the email with the subject: "Action Required: You have been proposed as an Assent contact by <email>"

  2. Read and review the message:



  3. Click Yes, add me as a contact to confirm you are able to receive requests for your organization.

  4. You will see a confirmation message:



  5. If you do not want to receive requests, click No, don’t add me.

  6. You will see confirmation that you will not be contacted for future requests, and the original contact who suggested you will receive notification as well:



  7. Close the window.
